Dear Homeowners & Residents:

The ShiRec Board of Directors is committed to communicating with the owners and community residents as we navigate through the Covid-19 pandemic and sharing any updates that could affect the clubhouse and grounds.

During this unprecedented time, we have been working to ensure we maintain the facility and grounds to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.  We realize people in the community have been in lockdown mode and are looking forward to getting out and would like to utilize the pool and facility.

After reviewing documents from the attorney and upon review and consideration of the state and local health and safety protocols, we will open the pool and clubhouse but with restrictions.

The clubhouse will be available for rental to homeowners and non-homeowners.  To ensure we are following state and local guidelines, the board will require professional cleaning after each rental.  This will be performed by a professional cleaning service that provides service Monday through Saturday for $325 per cleaning and the renter is responsible for this cost in addition to the rental fee.  This service will help to mitigate any risk.

We have attached a copy of the state guidelines to ensure you are aware of the requirements we must follow:

 Mitigation Measures Still Required

All Organizations in Georgia, which include community associations, that continue in-person operations must continue to implement measures which mitigate the exposure and spread of COVID-19. Such measures may include the measures listed in Georgia COVID-19 Pandemic Business Safety Act https://www.legis.ga.gov/api/legislation/document/20192020/195211

The following measures are most applicable for HOAs and condominium associations:

Any measures that have been proven effective to control the spread of COVID-19.
Screening and evaluating Workers who exhibit Symptoms of COVID-19.
Requiring Workers who exhibit Symptoms of COVID-19 to not report to work or to seek medical attention.
Posting signage at the entrances to the facility stating that individuals who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, have Symptoms of COVID-19, or had contact with a person that has or is suspected to have COVID-19 within the past fourteen (14) days and have not completed the Post-Exposure Quarantine Protocol shall not enter the facility.
Enhancing sanitation as appropriate.
Disinfecting frequently touched surfaces regularly, including, but not limited to, PIN entry devices, signature pads, door handles, and light switches.
If the Organization engage volunteers or has members of the public participate in activities, prohibiting volunteering or participation in activities for persons diagnosed with COVID-19, having exhibited Symptoms of COVID-19, or having had contact with a person that has or is suspected to have COVID-19 within the past fourteen (14) days and having not yet completed the Post-Exposure Quarantine Protocol; and
Ensuring ventilation systems operate properly and increasing circulation and purification of air within facilities as practicable.

We will continue to monitor the CDC and Department of Health mitigation measures and will adjust according to their recommendations.
